Who is this diploma intended for?
Employees in companies or government departments, across customer-facing, administrative, and commercial roles requiring oral or written communication with French-speaking counterparts.
What recognition does the DFP have? The Diplôme de français professionnel is recognised by numerous ministries worldwide and validates language training programmes in language centres, secondary schools, vocational institutions, and universities. Aligned with labour market demands, the Diplôme de français professionnel is recognised and used by many companies to certify employees’ French language proficiency. The Diplôme de français professionnel is offered at around one hundred universities and business schools worldwide to validate training programmes. These include the Diplomatic Academy of Vienna, the École hôtelière de Lausanne, Bocconi University in Milan, among others. This diploma is recognised by European national ministries and international organisations. The Diplôme de français professionnel is also recognised by the French Ministry of the Interior as proof of applicants’ French proficiency when applying for residency or naturalisation.

Levels B1–B2–C1: CHF 350.-
Exam Conditions
The Diplôme de français professionnel is taken online on a computer, supervised by an administrator, followed by an oral interview with an examiner. The exam consists of two parts:
1- Understanding and processing information (between 45 minutes and 2 hours depending on the level)
2- Oral interaction with an examiner (between 5 and 15 minutes depending on the level, with an equivalent amount of preparation time).
